FAQs

  • What happens in a typical treatment?

During your initial treatment, I will conduct a thorough consultation to assess your individual needs and gain a comprehensive understanding of your health concerns. Following this, I will provide a relaxing and in-depth investigatory reflexology session.

Subsequent treatments will be tailored to your unique requirements and guided by a personalised treatment plan developed after our first session.

  • How many treatments will i need?

The number of reflexology treatments you will need varies depending on your individual health concerns, goals, and how your body responds to the therapy. Reflexology often has a cumulative effect, meaning its benefits build over time as the body adjusts and responds to the treatment.

For some, noticeable improvements can be felt after just one or two sessions. However, for addressing more chronic or long-term issues, a series of treatments is often recommended. Weekly sessions are common initially to establish a foundation, followed by less frequent maintenance sessions as your body achieves better balance.

  • When cant i have a treatment?

While reflexology is a safe and non-invasive therapy, there are certain situations where it may not be appropriate or may need to be postponed. You should avoid having reflexology treatment if you have any of the following:

    Cellutitis (severe)

    Contagious diseases

    DVT /Thrombosis

    Embolus

    Plebitis

    Shingles ( if pustules present)

    Un-stable heart condition

  • What should I wear for my treatment?

For your reflexology treatment, it’s best to wear something comfortable and easy to relax in. If I am working on your feet, I may need to gently roll up your trousers to access the area around your ankles.

  • Where can I park?

Ample on-street parking is available in the area. Please feel free to park wherever is most convenient.

  • Do you have a waiting room?

Unfortunately, I do not have a waiting room. Please plan to arrive at your scheduled appointment time unless I notify you that you can arrive a little earlier.

  • Can you diagnose medical conditions?

While a reflexologist has a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology, we are not qualified to diagnose medical conditions. If you are concerned about any symptoms or health issues, it is important to consult with a doctor for a proper diagnosis and medical advice.

  • Can reflexology cure my medical condition?

Reflexology is not a cure or solution for medical conditions. Instead, it is a complementary therapy designed to support and enhance conventional medical care. It should never be used as a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.

Reflexology works by encouraging a healing response within the body, helping to restore natural balance and improve overall well-being. During your initial consultation, I will assess your health and well-being, tailoring the treatment to achieve the best possible outcomes for you.

  • How will I feel after treatment?

After a reflexology treatment, you may feel relaxed, sleep better, and experience an enhanced sense of well-being. Occasionally, a 'healing reaction' can occur as your body responds to the treatment, which may include fatigue, a headache, or more frequent trips to the bathroom. In some cases, certain symptoms may temporarily worsen, but these normal reactions typically subside within 24-48 hours and are considered part of the body's healing process. I will share after care advice with you post treatment.
